The Ozone is created electronically by converting Oxygen (O2) into Ozone (O3). By its very nature Ozone will revert to Oxygen within a short period of time. It is this process of returning to Oxygen that creates the deodorizing effect. The 3rd Oxygen atom in Ozone (O3) must attach itself to another gaseous element. It is such gaseous elements that are the source of everything we smell. In combining with the 3rd atom the odorous element is oxidized and the odor eliminated.
